SECTI*9 . DESCRIPTION OF WORK 0 <br /> The work, in general, consists of excavating native soil <br /> from two mandatory borrow sites and constructing these distinct <br /> soil layers and an erosion control blanket over the existing <br /> sanitary landfill area and such other items or details that are <br /> required by the Plans, Standard Specifications or these Special <br /> Provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed or installed. <br /> The three soil layer generally consist of : <br /> 1) Foundation Layer - native soil <br /> 2) Clay Barrier Layer - a mixture of 80 percent <br /> select native soil (free of <br /> any sandy soils) and 20 <br /> percent Ione Clay <br /> 3) Vegetative Layer - native soil selected for its <br /> ability to sustain plant life <br /> (D:\SPECS\CO.9-1) 9-1 <br /> D-\SPEC-00.WX\KLSL-9.1 <br />
