7.0 DRAINAGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Most of the drainage facilities have been constructed and are in
place. All major drainage features have been constructed except
for the top cover final ditches. All of the metal pipe downdrains
have been installed. The downdrains only have to be adjusted to
final grade.
There is approximately 9,000 lineal feet of top cover V shaped
drainage ditches to be constructed. The storm drainage detention
basin has been partially excavated for daily cover and the cost for
excavation is included in the cover material placement costs.
COST
Downdrains: Adjust 19 downdrains to final grade.
($200 X 19) _ $ 3 ,800
Top Cover Ditch Grading: Construction crew at $1,500 per
day. It is estimated that 500 lineal feet of V drainage
ditch could be built a day. A crew would consist of a
motorgrader, scraper, 2 operators, 1 laborer, and 1 grade
setter. Staking and engineering have been included in
cover placement cost.
qP ($1, 500 X 9,000/500) = 27 000
TOTAL $30,800
8. 0 ADDING OR REMOVING SECURITY SYSTEMS
The current perimeter fencing is appropriate for closure security
in the landfill area and the detention basin. The necessary
closure and notice signs and locks are estimated to cost $1, 000.
Maintenance road: Approximately 2, 100 lineal
feet of 10 foot wide all weather patrol road will be
constructed to the basin pumps. Assume approximately $5. 00
per foot of road.
($5 X 2 , 100) _ $101, 500
Locks and signs = $ 1, 000
$11,500
21
