Inc. <br />Page No. 7 <br />Section 17511 - Confined Unloading <br />The unloading area was confined to as small an area as <br />practicable and appeared to be adequately confined for the number <br />of vehicles using the facility at this time. <br />Section 17513•- Solid Waste Removal <br />This facility only accepts recyclable materials. According to <br />Joe Betts (president), all the remaining non -salvageable wastes <br />are to be disposed of at Forward Inc. Landfill. <br />Section 17515 - Scavenging <br />I did not observe any scavenging at this facility on the day of <br />my inspection. <br />Section 17516 - Salvaging Permitted at Transfer Station <br />Recovery of materials such as cardboard, plastic bottles, glass, <br />paper, newspapers, cans, aluminum and plastic, is permitted and <br />did not interfere with site operations. <br />Section 17517 - Volume Reduction <br />Volume reduction such as baling cardboard, paper cutting, can <br />smasher, were conducted in a controlled manner. <br />Section 17518 - Processing Area <br />Salvaging and volume reduction were confined to specified, <br />clearly defined areas located inside and outside the station <br />building. <br />Section 17521 - Removal <br />Joe Betts (president) stated that salvage materials are removed <br />as follows: <br />cardboard - every 48 hours <br />newspapers once a month (average) <br />cans once a month <br />glass average of once a week <br />plastic bottle - depending on market demand <br />',Waste Managemene Specialist <br />
