Inc.
Page No. 8
Section 17520 - Storage of Salvage
Storage of salvage occurred in clearly defined areas located
inside and south of the station building and beside the baler.
Newspapers were stored in parked truck trailers located outside
(west) of the facility boundary.
Section 17522 - Non -Salvageable Items
I saw no evidence of non -salvageable items being salvaged.
Section 17531 - Nuisance Control
There were three houses located immediately south of the property
(south of the baler). However, according to Joe Betts
(president), there has not been any complaints from the public.
Section 17532 - Dust Control
I did not observe any dust on the day of my inspection.
Section 17534 - Drainage Control
The station has adequate drainage facilities in the form of a
drainage clarifier which flows into the storm drain and
ultimately to the city sewer.
Section 17535 - Litter Control
I did not see quantities of litter that would cause a public
nuisance.
Section 17536 - Noise Control
The noise of operation could be heard at the site perimeter, but
was not likely to create a nuisance or health hazard.
Section 17537 - Odor Control
I did not detect any strong or offensive odors at the site
boundary.
Section 17538 - Traffic Control
Traffic flow was not causing a public safety hazard.
