Independent Trucking Co. Inc.
Page No. 9
Section 17546 - General
The number and types of equipment on site were sufficient to
operate this facility at this time. According to Joe Betts
(president), the following on-site equipment are:
2 - Bobcats forklifts
1 - Logeman baler
1 - horizontal baler (for standby purposes)
1 - can smasher
1 - hydraulic paper cutter
Section 17547 - Standby Equipment
The operator has standby equipment available from the following:
1. Forward Inc. Transfer Station - Stockton
2. U. S. Rentals - Stockton
Section 17548 - Transfer Vehicles
This facility only accepts recyclable materials, especially
cardboard. Bales of cardboard are transported via flat bed
trailer truck and tightened with ropes to prevent cardboard from
blowing out of the vehicle or littering the roadways. Other
transfer vehicles were adequately covered.
Section 17549 - Inspection of Equipment
Equipment was available for inspection.
Section 17550 - Housekeeping
I did not see accumulations of items which would cause a public
nuisance.
Section 17556 - General
I saw no conditions indicating a lack of preventive maintenance.
On the second day of my inspection, the cardboard baler broke
down. Joe Betts (president) immediately called the mechanic to
repair the problem.
Section 17561 - Burning Wastes
I saw no burning wastes received during this state inspection.
4u4ts ,
Waste Managemen Specialist
