' d. Hazardous waste is not accepted at the Station. The Hazardous Waste
Exclusion Program for the Station is described in Section III.D.4.a.2.
e. Wastes requiring special handling or treatment, with the exception of tires, are
generally not accepted. Whole tires will be segregated from the waste stream
by hand and stacked (laced fashion) when deposited in a trailer. The tires will
be transported off-site for disposal. A loading dock will be constructed in the
south end of the tipping/sorting floor entrance for loading tires onto the
trailer.
2. Waste quantities
Table I.D.2 is a summary of waste quantities according to categories required
by Chapter 3.2 of the Permit Desk Manual. The design capacity is compared
to projected waste quantities to be processed and transferred. The projections
include evaluation for the year 1995,the year the expanded Station will begin
operations. The actual design criteria for the Station will satisfy transfer needs
projected for the year 2010.
i
1
1
1
1
07549001.012 7 September 23,1993
