is elev. 10.0, based on 1986 County Flood Control data. The sump system in the
tunnel will remove surface flows and seepage.
Water in contact with waste:
The County may occasionally wash down the tipping/sorting floor areas in the
Transfer Building. For this reason the tipping floor is designed with floor drains (See
Drawing RSI-3) which drain to a small sump in the transfer tunnel area (See Drawing
RSI-6). These flows will be pumped up to a storage tank (2,00 gallons) for off-site
disposal, as needed. The approximate location for the waste water storage tank is
west of the building in the fueling area (this will provide for easy access for emptying
the tank). Conceptual layout for this system is shown on Drawing RSI-7.
f. Utilities Plan
Utilities required for the project are shown on the Conceptual Utilities Plan, Drawing
RSI-8. Design criteria and a brief description follow.
• Storm drains stem - County Provement Standards (Sept. 1991
)
• Sanitary sewer lines and leach field - County Ordinance 549. Preliminary
design sizing of the leach field is in Appendix D. Final Plan approvals by the
EHD are anticipated to be processed through the approval process of the
County Department of Planning and Building Inspection.
• Water supply lines - County Improvement Standards (Sept. 1991), as
applicable
• Fire service lines, hydrants, pump house and storage tank - County
Improvement Standards (Sept. 1991), and requirements of Manteca Lathrop
Fire District
• Electrical supply - The electric utility, Pacific Gas and Electric, will provide
underground service from a utility pole along the north side of Lovelace Road
to a utility supplied pad mounted transformer. Twenty percent design layout
drawings will be submitted to PG&E for review. A 480/277 volt distribution
switchboard will be mounted inside the Transfer Building and fed from the
utility's transformer. A 480 volt three-phase underground feeder will be
provided from the main switchboard to the:
- Scalehouse
O&M Building
Firewater Pumphouse
- Sump pump lift stations
- Well
Telephone service will be provided for the Transfer Building, scalehouse,
O&M Building, fire pumphouse, and a pay phone will be provided outside the
O&M Building.
• Pole mounted lighting - The following exterior locations will be used for pole
07549001.012 24 September 23,1993
