Statement of Fact: <br />The impact will be reduced by the following: <br />All on-site outdoor lighting shall be directed so that the light source (i.e., bulb or <br />lamp) is not visible from adjacent properties. <br />I. VISUAL QUALITY <br />(1) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: VISUAL EFFECTS OF PROJECT IN THE <br />PROJECT VICINITY <br />The project is an expansion of an existing facility that is not adequately screened <br />from the view of nearby residences. <br />Findings: <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br />identified in the Final EIR. <br />Statement of Fact: <br />The impact will be reduced by the following: <br />An adequate landscape area shall be provided along the project frontage on <br />Lovelace Road <br />(2) POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT: NUISANCE LrrTER <br />A project related increase in vehicle and truck traffic to and from the transfer <br />station may contribute to an incremental increase of local litter problems along <br />Lovelace Road, Union Road, and Airport Way. <br />Finding: <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as <br />identified in the Final EIR. The mitigation measure is fisted below. <br />Statement of Fact: <br />The impact win be reduced by the following: <br />Litter control crews shall police Lovelace Road on a daily basis and Union Road <br />and Airport Way on a periodic basis to remove any litter. <br />Attachment A -9- UP -93-2 <br />
