Construction & Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report
Tracy Materia/ Recovery and Transfer Facility
30703 S. MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377
layout allows for a maximum amount of storage volume and the permit will limit
the storage times for inert debris and C&D debris for both processed and
unprocessed materials.
The operator generates a significant amount of the incoming materials from
demolition jobs. With the permit conditions and ability to control incoming debris,
Tracy MRF & TS is prepared to handle peak loading.
Table 15 — Unusual Peak Loading Operations
Facility Operations
Unusual Peak Loading Operations Plan
Scale House
Incoming vehicles can be weighed and notified to
proceed in less than one minute and can handle peak
loading. At extreme peak loading, there is adequate
room to queue up at least 20 vehicles on-site. Queuing
up of vehicles on MacArthur Drive is not expected at
any time.
Inert Debris Dumping
The all-weather access on the compacted gravel,
asphalt concrete or concrete paving of the facility
allows vehicles to ingress and egress without delays or
complications. The vehicles dump at the Inert
Processing Area. Should the facility be at capacity and
unusual peak loading occurs, there are other permitted
facilities (Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Altamont Landfill
and Resource Recovery Facility, etc.) in the immediate
region that could receive this type of debris.
C&D Debris Dumping
The all-weather access on the asphalt concrete or
concrete pad of the C&D Processing Area allows
vehicles to ingress and egress without delays or
complications. The vehicles dump on a tipping area
adequately sized to handle 200 TPD for floor sorting in
Phase 1. Should the facility be at capacity and unusual
peak loading occurs, there are other permitted facilities
Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Altamont Landfill and
Resource Recovery Facility, etc.) in the immediate
region that could receive this type of debris.
Phase 2 expansion, with the addition of the C&D
Processing Line, expands the capacity to 500 TPD
where the mixed C&D is dumped on an asphalt
concrete or concrete pad and mechanically pre-sorted
prior to be placed on the pick line, which may be on
concrete or concrete asphalt paving.
31 170.18 CDI FacReport 050813 revised
