Mitigation Measure Implementing Timing of <br />• Unpaved Road Speeds: The <br />construction contractor shall <br />limit traffic speeds on unpaved <br />roads to 15 mph. <br />• Erosion Control: The <br />construction contractor shall <br />install gravelbags or other <br />erosion -control measures to <br />prevent silt runoff to public <br />roadways from sites with a <br />slope greater than 1 percent <br />during ground -disturbing <br />activities. <br />• Wind Breaks: The construction <br />contractor shall install and <br />maintain wind breaks at <br />windward side(s) of <br />construction areas throughout <br />construction activities. <br />• High Winds: The construction <br />contractor shall suspend <br />excavation and grading activity <br />when winds exceed 20 miles <br />per hour. <br />Construction Equipment <br />1 off-road construction equipment <br />used within project area shall conform <br />to the United States Environmental <br />Protection Agency's Tier 3 or higher <br />i emissions standards. The construction <br />contractor shall be made <br />aware of this requirement prior to the <br />start of construction activities. Use of <br />I Tier 3 or higher off-road construction <br />equipment shall be stated on all <br />grading plans. The construction <br />contractor shall maintain a list of all <br />operating equipment in use on the <br />project site.
