3. Landfill <br /> If the composting site is planned to be located on an existing or closed land- <br /> fill, provide the following information: <br /> a. Name of the site and current owners) and operator(s). <br /> b. Site classification (Class 1, II, or 111) and type of waste disposed of and <br /> waste prohibited. <br /> C. Date of closure of landfill. <br /> d. Date of issuance of solid waste facilities permit of closed ll. <br /> .land fi <br /> e. Location and acreage of the proposed composting operation. Clearly indi- <br /> cate the location and acreage of composting materials located within landfill <br /> boundaries and placed on landfill final cover. <br /> 1 f. Location where documents, and as-built landfill site construction drawings <br /> g <br /> and the final closure and post-closure maintenance plans are retained for <br /> Inspection. <br /> g. If the composting operation was not addressed in the most recently approved <br /> closure and post-closure maintenance plans, revised closure and post-closure <br /> maintenance plans will be required. <br /> Composting operations will not occur on an existing or closed landfill; however, the <br /> Composting Facility will be located on an area permitted for future WMUs. <br /> C. Quantity of Materials to be Accepted <br /> Describe the nature and quantity of materials to be accepted. Nonwaste <br /> building materials, such as straw, hay, rice hulls, etc., need not be reported <br /> here. However, the facilities and procedures used in the storage and hand- <br /> ling of these materials must be described under the materials handling por- <br /> tion of this RCSI. <br /> The Compost Facility will handle any decomposable organic material including, but not <br /> limited to, green material, food processing residue, sewage sludge, mixed solid waste, <br /> manure, mixed paper, ash, grit/grease, holding tank pumpings, and agricultural wastes. <br /> Green material, food processing residue, sewage sludge, mixed solid waste and manure are <br /> as defined in Title 14 (Chapter 3.1, Article I, §17852) of the California Code of Regula- <br /> tions (CCR): <br /> a ealOQ29B63.wp5/6 <br /> 9/28/94 6 <br />
