i <br /> area. The fenced equipment storage yard is a secured area that protects landfill equipment <br /> from vandalism. This area will be relocated as needed to facilitate site development. <br /> Bin Storage Area. The bin storage area at the RRF is on the north side of the RRF, adja- <br /> cent to the trailer storage. Three drop boxes from Levin Metal Corporation and drop <br /> boxes from the Delta Container Corporation are stored here on a regular basis. The Levin <br /> Metal Corporation's drop boxes are usually 18 cy and 50 cy. The Delta Container Corpor- <br /> ation's drop boxes are usually 20 cy and 40 cy. The size and quantity of drop boxes may <br /> vary. <br /> Water. Water for site operations is supplied by two on site production wells (one at the <br /> landfill entrance facilities and the other at the RRF entrance facilities). Water is also avail- <br /> able from a 8,000-gallon storage tank located in the RRF facilities area. On site water uses <br /> include site construction and waste disposal operations, RRF operations, dust control, <br /> equipment maintenance operations, sanitary facilities, fire fighting, and emergency situa- <br /> tions. Bottled water is provided for drinking. <br /> Sanitary Facilities. There is no onsite sewage disposal system or leach lines. The sanitary <br /> facilities consists of a total of seven portable toilets at the site. Two portable toilets are <br /> located adjacent to the landfill office trailer, two are located at the RRF, one is in the <br /> maintenance yard at the landfill, one is located near the eastern ash disposal pit, and one is <br /> located on the bin storage pad at the landfill. The two portable toilets adjacent to the land- <br /> fill office are handicap-accessible. The locations will change with site development. <br /> Electricity. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) provides primary electric service to <br /> the site. Electric power is provided to the office trailers (except the employee trailer at the <br /> RRF) and onsite pumping facilities. <br /> Communications. Pacific Bell provides telephone service to the site. Company offices <br /> and some vehicles used for site operations are equipped with phones. <br /> Right-of-Way. The eastern property line is also the Austin Road centerline; the Austin <br /> Road right-of-way, owned by the County of San Joaquin, is 60 feet wide. <br /> Easement. The South Fork easement is shown in Figure 1.2. <br /> Water Wells.- There are two water wells at the site. A 1,000-gpm well at the landfill <br /> entrance facilities and a 20-gpm well at the RRF entrance facilities. <br /> 1 <br /> Offsite. Structures within 1,000 feet of the site boundaries are shown in Figure 1.1. Two <br /> residences are 1,800 and 2,200 feet from the northeastern corner of the site. A third resi- <br /> dence is 900 feet east of the site along the southern bank of the South Fork. <br /> As shown in Figure 1.5, the current land use for the area surrounding the site is primarily <br /> agricultural.
