We will <br /> adjust the protocol to place a date on the triple rinsed sticker prior to placing in the <br /> staging area. <br /> Item #605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completed label containers or portable tanks <br /> of hazardous waste: In the lab: -One 5 gallon bucket containing Coulamat A was <br /> incorrectly labeled as EZ COD Vials. The hazardous properties was labeled according to <br /> the EZ COD Vials. -One 5 gallon bucket containing EZ COD was observed with a <br /> hazardous waste label missing the accumulation start date, hazardous properties, physical <br /> state, the words "hazardous waste", and the name and address of the generator. Near the <br /> used oil storage area: -One purple 55 gallon poly drum containing used oil (3/4 full) was <br /> observed without a hazardous waste label. -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing <br /> oily debris (1/4 full) was observed without a hazardous waste label. -One purple 55 <br /> gallon steel drum containing used oil (full) was observed without a hazardous waste <br /> label. -One purple 55 gallon poly drum containing used oil (1/2 full) was observed <br /> without a hazardous waste label. -One white 55 gallon poly drum containing used oil (1/4 <br /> full) was observed without a hazardous waste label. All hazardous waste containers shall <br /> be marked with the following information: - the words "Hazardous Waste" - name and <br /> address of generator - hazardous properties - physical state - composition (contents) - <br /> accumulation start date immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous <br /> waste containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> PES Response: One 5 gallon bucket containing Coulomat A was incorrectly labeled as <br /> COD Vials. This container has been removed from the site and sent out in a correctly <br /> labeled container the waste disposal company provided. The new container has the <br /> correct label. Please see phot#4 for a picture of the correctly labeled bucket. <br /> One 5 gallon buckets containing COD vials was observed with a hazardous waste label <br /> missing accumulation start date, hazardous properties, physical state, the words <br /> "hazardous waste", and the name and address of the generator. These containers have since been removed. As noted in Item # <br /> 304 and 406 above and photo 43 in Appendix B of the area with the drums removed and <br /> j Appendix C for the manifest for their removal.
