Ground water occurs at approximately 47 to 48
feet below ground surface. Site specific geologic and hydrogeologic data
were not provided by DuPont to Exceltech. Only the results of the actual
testing operations are presented in this report since accurate interpretation
was not possible without the background technical data. It is OL
understanding that more specific geologic and hydrogeologic information may
be obtained by contacting DuPont directly. Presently, approximately 18
ground -water monitoring wells exist on-site and several ground -water
monitoring wells exist off-site.
3,0 j CQUIF,ER TTESTINQMETHODS
- Aquifer testing was performed at this site during the period of February 15
through February 17, 1988. Two types of tests were used to evaluate the
aquifer, both of which are described below. The aquifer characteristics of
hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity and storage coefficient were graphed
to visually display the data, and the appropriate values were calculated.
Data was collected from pressure transducers placed at optimum depths in
each observation well. The pressure transducers sent data instaneously to
an In -Situ SE 200 datalogger which stores information on cassette tapes.
The data collected- on the- cassette tapes was subseque,itly--down-loaded,
manipulated, and displayed on the Apple Macintosh computer graphics.
