111:1Z 1; Uff
ON _--
June 7, 2988 AGS .lob No. 038033^l
Marlowe Properties, Stockton, California
o Construct ground-water monitoring well HW-1 in boring
B-1, if the boring extends to below the ground-water
surface.
o Develop the well and collect a ground-water sample.
o Analyze selected soil and ground-water samples for
era
gasoline constituents in a state-certified laboratory.
o Interpret field and laboratory data to evaluate the
extent of contamination.
o Describe subsurface conditions at the site as revealed
a:
in the. borings.
o Install additional borings or monitoring wells, ,if
necessary, to adequately delineate the extent of
subsurface contamination.
o Prepare a report summarizing our findings, conclusions,
and recommendations.
Two soil borings will be drilled to a sufficient depth to evaluate
the vertical extent of subsurface contamination. Ground water is
estimated to be at a depth of approximately 40 feet. Boring B-1
will be located adjacent to the former tank cavity in order to
evaluate the vertical extent of soil contamination directly
r
beneath the suspected source. Boring B-2 will be located adjacent
to the closest building, approximately 15 feet north of the
suspected .source, to evaluate whether soil contamination has
migrated beneath the building. The depth of this soil boring will
be based on the levels and distribution of contaminants detected
during drilling of boring B-1.
