(AGE) and has the following comments. <br /> The Report documents a routine. quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling event <br /> conducted at your site in December 2007. Laboratory analytical results were reported non- <br /> detect for all analyzed constituents. This was the third consecutive quarter for which all <br /> analytical results were reported as non-detect for all wells sampled. <br /> i <br /> On this site groundwater remediation by ozone injection was conducted from August 2004 <br /> through June 2007. Two groundwater monitoring events have been reported since shutdown <br /> of the remediation system; no rebound in contaminant concentrations has been observed <br /> since that time. <br /> In the Report AGE recommends consideration of this site for regulatory closure, and <br /> discontinuation of quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling. The EHD agrees that the <br /> site appears ready for closure consideration, and directs submittal of a closure report. <br /> Include in the closure report a vapor intrusion evaluation, residual contaminant mass <br /> estimate with calculations and a recommendation on ithe necessity of collecting confirmation j <br /> soil samples and/or soil vapor samples. Also, residual contamination to be left in place must <br /> be evaluated according to the environmental screening levels (ESL's) of the San Francisco <br /> Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board. The closure report is due no later than <br /> May.23, 2008. Routine groundwater monitoring and sampling of the sites groundwater <br /> monitoring well's must continue, though analysis may be limited to methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (MtBE).
