Page 10
Installation of lighting, water lines, or other utilities as needed for site operations; and
Identification and mitigation of unstable geotechnical conditions associated with the removal
of debris.
Environmental Control and Monitoring
Develop an environmental control and monitoring plan. The plan will discuss vapor and
odor suppression, confined space issues, hazardous and flammable atmospheres, air
monitoring for on and off site, and decontamination protocols. In addition, the plan will
address the potential fire issues from pyrolytic oil and have a response strategy to handle
such an issues;
Develop a site specific health and safety plan;
Establish a weather station to record daily conditions;
Develop decontamination and transportation plan; and
Procure the equipment necessary to implement the plan.
Soil Sampling
Develop a site-sampling plan as directed by the project manager. This Plan will address
additional areas of contamination and conformation samples in areas where removal has
been completed; and
Sampling areas of potential contamination as directed by the project manager.
Ground water
Develop a groundwater-monitoring plan.
Construction of additional groundwater monitoring wells
Investigate hydrogeologic conditions and assess groundwater water quality and impacts
from the fire.
300.2 Unique Site Features
The construction project, as defined by the property line, has no outflows. The site is in the
shape of a large bowl. It appears to be a large depression that has undergone previous
excavations in the past. All of the materials identified for classification are located at sub-grade
elevations when compared to the site entrance and upper rim of the bowl. No water flows off
the site, and that which drains into the low areas rapidly leaches into the soil. See figures 1 & 2.
Prepared: April 12, 2003
