LFR Levine-Fricke
normal (10-day) turn-around schedule. Table 2 provides a summary of the laboratory
analytical results. A complete list of required analytes for the second quarter 2003 is
included in Table 3. Collected groundwater samples were analyzed for the following:
I !
volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B
• semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) by EPA Method 8270C
• dissolved metals by EPA Method 6020
• dissolved mercury by EPA Method 7470A
• general minerals by several EPA Methods
I
4.0 RESULTS OF QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING
' ) The following sections describe the groundwater gradient and flow direction and
_ groundwater analytical results.
4.1 Groundwater Elevations and Gradient
3 Depth-to-groundwater measurements were collected on May 13, 2003, and are
summarized on Table 1 and shown on Figure 3. The measured depth to groundwater
during the May 2003 sampling event ranged from 61.29 feet below top of casing (toe)
(MW-2) to 106.88 (MW-5) feet below too. Groundwater elevations in the Site wells
ranged from 62.77 feet above msl in monitoring well MW-1 to 64.49 feet msl in
monitoring well MW-3. Based on the May 13, 2003 groundwater elevations, the Site
displays a generally flat water table with a calculated horizontal hydraulic gradient of
0.001 feet per foot (ft/ft) toward the northwest (Figure 3).
I
4.2 Groundwater Analytical Results
Groundwater samples collected from wells MW-5 and PW-1, after development on
April 14, 2003, and from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 on May 20, 2003,
were analyzed for parameters required by the RWQCB. Table 2 provides a summary
of the analytical results and the laboratory analytical reports are presented in Appendix
C.
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Results. VOCs were not detected above the
laboratory reporting limit in samples collected from wells MW-5 and PW-1 after well
development or from wells MW-1 through MW-5 during the second quarter 2003
sampling event.
Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds. SVOCs were not detected above the laboratory
reporting limit in samples collected from wells MW-5 and PW-1 after well
development or from wells MW-1 through MW-5 during the second quarter 2003
sampling event.
77
TTF QMR Q2-03 FINAL(7-2M3)dEE Page 5
