The proposed project site is not located within the vicinity of any Department of Parks or <br /> Recreation facilities. The nearest park is a very small day-use park (Veteran's Park) located on <br /> West Linne Road between Tracy Boulevard and MacArthur Drive, approximately 1 mile from the <br /> Site (Tracy Parks 2003). <br /> Analysis of Potential Impacts: <br /> Describe to what extent project activities would: <br /> a. Increase the use of existing neighborhood and regional parks or other recreational <br /> facilities such that substantial physical deterioration of the facility would occur or be <br /> accelerated. <br /> No Impact. The proposed project would not increase the use of existing housing or <br /> nearby regional parks or other recreational facilities. <br /> b. Include recreational facilities or require construction or expansion of recreational facilities <br /> that might have an adverse physical effect on the environment. <br /> No Impact. The proposed project would not include recreational facilities or require the <br /> construction or expansion of recreational facilities. <br /> Findings of Significance: <br /> ❑ Potentially Significant Impact <br /> ❑ Potentially Significant Unless Mitigated <br /> ❑ Less Than Significant Impact <br /> X No Impact <br /> 15. Transportation and Traffic <br /> Project activities likely to create an impact: <br /> • Removal of top 18 to 24 inches of burned material, ash and visibly affected soil within gravel <br /> pit area <br /> • Removal of localized areas of deeper soil containing elevated concentrations of metals or <br /> pyrolytic oil. <br /> • Transportation of contaminated materials to off-site disposal facility <br /> Description of Environmental Setting: <br /> The proposed project site is located at 29425 South MacArthur Drive, approximately 3 miles <br /> south of Tracy in San Joaquin County, California. The Site is situated in the southwestern part of <br /> San Joaquin County, and lies approximately 1 mile north of Interstate-580 (1-580) and <br /> approximately 6 miles north of the Interstate-5 (1-5) and 1-580 interchange. <br /> Regional access to the project site is provided by Interstate-205 (1-205), 1-580, and 1-5. Local <br /> access to the project site is provided by State Route 132, Corral Hollow Road, West Linne Road, <br /> and South MacArthur Dive. These streets have been designated as truck routes in accordance <br /> with the City of Tracy Municipal Code 3.08.310. <br /> 42 <br />
