Key elements are addressed. Standard sampling and
chain-of—custody procedures will be followed as outlined in our
previous submittals. Our proposed workplan is as follows:
Assessment of the Extent of soil Contamination
Five radial lines of borings will be be drilled at a spacing
of ten feet located as shown on the attached sketch. The end
point of each line will depend on the PID readings. One boring
outside the observed area of + ontamination will be completed to
confirm the lateral boundary of the contaminated area. Sail
samples will be collected at five foot intervals to ground water
which occurs at approximately 30 feet from the ground surface.
Two samples from each borehole will be submitted for chemical
analyses. The analyses will include total hydrocarbons and BTX.
Sample selection will be based on the highest PID reading and
first zero reading encountered after a sequence of positive PID
readings or the saml:le with the lowest FID reading in each
borehole. California Analytical Laboratories, located in.West
Sacramento, will be utilized for the analytical work. This
laboratory has been chosen for their excellent reputation and
reliable turnaround time.
Two borings will be placed at the eastern edge of the
proposed champagne tonic foundation. Samples will be collected at
five foot intervals to ground water and at least two selected
samples from each borehole will be analyzed for total hydrocarbons
and BTX under a rush turnaround request (24 to 48 hrs). Results
of the analyses will be obtained directly from the laboratory and
-----------------------------hand--de.l-iver.ed-_to._the_-RWQCB-,-_San.--Joaquin Health Department and
Guild Wineries the same day the analyses are comp e e .
Us++ERL7FhCh n'aln.lCrrrk Sann,_jc SnR+mon Rena Sia.Llan .r—no Fa•de'.1 -
RonnrgRnL vrr,ed . to,Anke1 LAI:I,3, .
