CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT
17681 Availability of Cover was available on site. It was C
Cover . extracted from the southwest -corner of
the site. According to John
Giambastiani, the Site Supervisor,
daily cover is taken from the
southwest end of the site and used
50:50 with cover provided by haulers.
Approximately 100 yd3 of cover is
brought in by haulers each day and
saved in specified areas. This
rougher, hauled in material is used on
the bottom and sides of fill areas;
the clean cover material from on site
is used on top of the fill.
Long range cover is available from 40
acres on the southwest corner and 10
acres of the western corner. These
two areas should provide cover to the
end of the sites life.
17682 Cover . I observed cannery waste exposed in V
the southeastern fill areas. It was
spread over 370 x 120 feet and a 350 x
200 feet area. There was also a great
amount of fruit seeds spread over a
vast associated area. The exposed
waste had attracted a great number of
flies and ground squirrels (See
Section 17707) . This material
requires daily cover . (See Slides 1 . 24
and 1 . 31) .
17683 Performance This site does not operate under C
Standards. performance standards.
Page No. 6 of 14 Inspector: na kach
