CAC SECTION OBSERVATIONS RESULT
17705 Gas Control. On site occupied buildings consisted C
of a gatehouse trailer, which was
elevated; a supervisors office which
was very drafty because of a two-foot
gap in the corner; a night
watchman's trailer which was elevated;
and the nighwatchman's work shed which
had large holes in it providing air circulation.
I did not test for methane near any
of these buildings because it was
highly unlikely that methane would
enter or accumulate in them.
The four perimeters are surrounded by
agricultural lands. I tested each
perimeter for gas with a Gas-Tech,
Model NP - 204, and a bar hole punch.
'I detected nothing. (See slides 1.25
and 1.26) .
17706 Dust Control. The site had a water truck that passed C
through once a day. This site was not
dusty.
17707 Vector and Bird 1) All areas including and ad3ace--ntto V
Control. the cannery waste dumping area had a
great number of flies. Using the hood
of my car as a survey area I counted
10 flies per square yard of surface
area. Vectors in this amount
constitute a disease risk and are a
nuisance. (See slides 1 .27 and 1.28.
2) There were numerous squirrel
burrows in the areas surrounding the
cannery waste drying area. See
Section 17682.
