MONITORING AND REPOR11eG PROGRAM -3- <br /> CITY OF STOCKTON <br /> AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL <br /> CLASS III LANDFILLS <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> WATER QUALITY PROTECTION STANDARDS <br /> Standards for Surface Waters <br /> Monthly surface water samples shall be taken from the locations shown on <br /> Attachment B for one year and analyzed for each of the parameters and con- <br /> stituents listed under "SURFACE WATER MONITORING" above. Analyses shall account <br /> for measurement errors in sampling and analysis. Data from these analyses shall <br /> be reported to the Board within thirteen months of-the effective date of this <br /> Order for use by the Board in determining water quality protection standards for <br /> surface waters at the site. <br /> If subsequent upstream surface water sampling indicates significant water <br /> quality changes due to either seasonal fluctuations or other reasons unrelated <br /> to waste management activities at the site, the Discharger may request modifica- <br /> tion of these water quality protection standards. <br /> Standards for Ground Water <br /> Monthly samples shall be taken from "background" monitoring wells for one year <br /> and analyzed for: <br /> Report in <br /> Parameter/Constituent Units of <br /> Specific Conductance (field) umhos/cm <br /> pH (field) pH Units <br /> Sulfate mg/l <br /> Chloride mg/l <br /> Nitrate (as N) mg/l <br /> Alkalinity mg/l <br /> Carbonate mq/l <br /> Bicarbonate mg/l <br /> Dissolved Iron mg/l <br /> Manganese mg/l <br /> Total Organic Carbon mg/l <br /> Quarterly samples shall be taken from these wells for one year and analyzed for <br /> each of the parameters and constituents listed under "GROUND WATER MONITORING" <br /> above. Analyses shall account for measurement errors in sampling and analysis. <br /> Data from these analyses shall be reported to the Board within thirteen months <br /> of the effective date of this Order for use by the Board in determining water <br /> quality protection standards for ground water at the site. <br />
