Step 5h: The RSV comes with an 18" long stinger pipe,which is appropriate for most installations. Determine the correct stinger ' ' length for your installation and alter this pipe length accordingly. If the low liquid level is not specified for the particular installation, refer to Appendix 3 on page 20 for typical RSV and float settings. ; (The normal low liquid level—the level at which 100%of the filtrate returns to the tank—determines the stinger length.) For almost all applications,the stinger will be shorter than 2411, and the low liquid level will be approximately 6"below the top ' T of the RSV cage. We highly recommend keeping the stinger shorter than 36". Stingers longer than 36" require custom RSV 'x ' cages. (Contact your Dealer or Orenco for more information.) Leave about 6" of tube extending through the tube holder.Any excess can be cut off.No vent tube is required for Mode l installations. Step 5k: Carefully lower the RSV into the bracket attached to the inside of the access riser. Slide the RSV down until the two ` locating stops come in contact with the top edge of the bracket.
