The <br />business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in areas directly involved in the <br />generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency telephone number of the emergency <br />coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the telephone number of the fire <br />department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately post the required information at the facility. Provide a statement to the San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department that the correction is complete. <br />This is a minor violation. <br /> 110 CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br />OBSERVATION: Copies of hazardous waste disposal records for used oil were not found on site. According to <br />Rodger Ainsworth, Maintenance Manager, the used oil is taken to the Household Hazardous Waste facility to be <br />disposed of. No receipts are given to the business. <br />REGULATION: Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility <br />and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available <br />for review. If the waste is taken to the Household Hazardous Waste facility, a business appointment must be made <br />beforehand and a receipt must be obtained when the waste is dropped off. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for the last three years, maintain <br />them on site, and submit copies to the EHD.
