Telephone Threats: <br /> If you receive a telephone threat, do the following: <br /> (a) Remain calm. <br /> (b) Keep the caller on the line as long as possible. Listen carefully. Note the <br /> time of the call and identify the telephone number if possible. <br /> (c) Ask a co-worker to contact the Operations Manager. <br /> (d) If possible, fill out the Threat Form in Appendix C <br /> (e) Ask the caller the following questions: <br /> 1) Where is the bomb? <br /> 2) What does the bomb look like? <br /> 3) What kind of bomb is it? <br /> 4) What is the caller's name and reason for placing the bomb? <br /> 5) Are you an employee? <br /> (e) Write down any pertinent information- gender of caller, accents,patterns of <br /> speech and background noises. <br /> 2. Written Threats or Packages: <br /> If you receive a written threat or a suspicious package is delivered, do the <br /> following: <br /> (a) Remain calm. <br /> (b) Notify the Plant Manager and call 911 immediately for Fire or Police Dept. <br /> assistance. <br /> (c) Do not attempt to open the package. <br /> (d) Do not place the article in water or a confined space such as a filing cabinet <br /> or desk drawer. <br /> (e) Do not use a portable radio/cell phone within 100 feet of the letter or <br /> package. <br /> (f) Write down everything you remember about the letter or parcel and how it <br /> was delivered. <br /> (g) Save all packaging materials. <br /> Emergency Action Plan—DTE Stockton, LLC <br />
