According to <br />Kassandra when she scans the item, the hand-held scanner prompts her to place the empty packets into the State <br />Regulated (ST) hazardous waste tote. (IMG 5123-6). <br />All hazardous waste shall be in a closed container and all hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times <br />except when adding or removing waste. <br />Immediately ensure all hazardous waste is in a closed container and all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 404 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to inspect hazardous waste storage areas at least weekly. <br />The most recent Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area Inspection form found onsite was completed on 12/19/2018 <br />by Kassandra Witthoft, store manager (IMG 5154). Kassandra verified that was the last hazardous waste inspection <br />she conducted. <br />Hazardous waste containers are not inspected weekly. Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall <br />be inspected weekly for leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the containment system caused <br />by corrosion and other factors. <br />Immediately begin conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this facility. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br />stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days <br />A plastic bag labeled ST, lacked an accumulation start date and contained empty packets of One Packs GS Neutral <br />Cleaner Concentrate, was found on a shelf containing store use cleaning items, adjacent the HW storage area and <br />mop sink. According to Kassandra when she scans the item, the hand-held scanner prompts her to place the empty <br />packets into the State Regulated (ST) hazardous waste tote.
