BENII Project No. 11-9234
Sampling Areas
As required, sampling locations are determined by site conditions and/or the provided documentation
from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD). Potential areas of
contamination are divided into primary and secondary areas. The primary areas are described as those
where the actual processing (cooking) took place and/or where the storage of'chemicals exists. The
secondary areas are described as those where migration from the primary areas is likely to have occurred
due to high traffic and ventilation.
I. Primary Areas Include: Processing or "cooking" areas. Areas affected may include floor
coverings, walls, ceilings, working surfaces, plumbing fixtures, plumbing drains and HVAC
system. Selected areas are as follows:
House:
o The building materials and components throughout the entire house will be completely
removed in lieu of sampling.✓
o This includes the full removal of appliances, light fixtures, HVAC system, duct work, air
registers, walls, ceilings, floor coverings, cabinets, vanities, sinks, toilets, bath
tubs/showers, plumbing fixtures and plumbing drains.
Metal Barn:
o The building components throughout the entire metal barn will be completely removed in
lieu of sampling./
o This includes the full removal of light fixtures, sink vanity, sink, plumbing fixtures,
plumbing drains, plywood walls, sheet metal walls and plastic on ceiling.
o The concrete floor shall be triple rinse surface washed using a non-phosphate based
cleaner and encapsulated with an oil based paint or similar product.
Modular Trailer:
o The entire modular trailer shall be properly disposed of in lieu of sampling.
2. Secondary Areas Include: Locations where contamination may have migrated, such as hallways
or high traffic areas.
1) Septic waste water sample to be collected from the septic waste water system and analyzed.
3. Suspected disposal methods observed at the site (e.g., dumping, burning, burial, venting, and/or
drain disposal):
A. Suggested disposal method: Off-site disposal (no signs of dumping and/or drain disposal
observed).
11.0.
