The Control Center Training Program ensures that Pipeline System Controllers are <br /> appropriately trained, evaluated, and qualified to perform their job duties. It also <br /> describes the requirements for classifying Pipeline System Controllers. <br /> The Control Center Training Program addresses orientation training(including <br /> computer-based training),pipeline simulator training, normal job duty training, and <br /> specialty schools as well as implementation of annual required training, safety <br /> meetings, and emergency response drills and exercises. <br /> 4.10 Engineering,Training Program(Section J) <br /> The Engineering Training Program provides topics,methods,procedures, and reference <br /> sources for the training and development of Company Engineers to at least the <br /> Intermediate skill level in their primary discipline, and to the Basic skill level <br /> (minimum)in all other disciplines. The Engineering Training Program also provides <br /> guidance in achieving increased skill levels in areas of Company need and interest to <br /> the Engineer. It is applicable to personnel within the Company that utilize the <br /> Engineering Career Ladder. <br /> 4.11 Computer-Based Training(Web-Based Training) (Section K) <br /> The Computer-Based Training(CBT) Program or Web-Based Training(WBT) is used <br /> to provide employees with an introduction to safety, operating, maintenance, and <br /> emergency response subjects and to satisfy annual refresher training requirements. <br /> Employees should initially complete the CBT modules applicable to their job function <br /> within their first year of employment. In addition, employees should complete three <br /> CBT modules per year to satisfy OSHA annual required training, as general refresher <br /> training, or as new modules relevant to their position are introduced. <br /> 4.12 Videotape Library(Section L) <br /> Operations Services maintains a Videotape Library of safety, operational, emergency <br /> response and technical topics that are available to instructors and employees to use at <br /> safety meetings and training sessions. The contents of the Videotape Library and the <br /> check out procedure are in this section. <br /> 4.13 Course Catalog(Section M) <br /> The Course Catalog describes Technician Training Courses applicable to the Field <br /> Technician Policy as well as courses applicable to the Engineering Training Program <br /> and other Company Specialists(Corrosion Specialists, Measurement and Quality <br /> Control Specialists). It is divided by discipline and includes course name, <br /> description/objectives, school name, location, course frequency, and a contact number <br /> or website address. <br /> 4.14 Measuring the Effectiveness of Training(Section N) <br /> The Measurement and Evaluation section is designed to determine whether the training <br /> sessions developed, conducted, and/or attended by Company employees are effective in <br /> terms of knowledge and skills acquisition, and to verify that the new knowledge and <br /> skills are applied during job performance. It is also used to determine the overall value <br /> and effectiveness of a specific training program or major training initiative. It includes <br /> the Training/Instructor Evaluation Form and the Post-Vendor School Self-Evaluation <br /> Form. <br />
