All remaining solids
that float to the surface will be skimmed off by hand and dried
to eliminate the possibility of fly breeding on the crust.
This phase of Part one began on May 17,1995. Due to the nature
of removing floating debris from ponds an extra labor force
will be needed in order to comply.
To combat the water level in the earth pond at the back of unit
nine, all pumping will come to a stop. Since the construction
of new ponds cannot be done without the use permits; we will
rely on the evaporation that will take place during the summer
months. Then, by removing the floating solids there should
be a reduction in the water level.
Future Plans For House 6 and 7
Birds in units 6 and 7 will be sent to the kill plant at
the end of 1995. There will be no replacement birds ordered
until all manure is removed.
2
11830 East French Camp Road Telephone (209) 983-0642
Manteca, California 95336 Facsimile (209) 983-9116
