CSK Auto#4025 GeoTek Project No.:BC 122-4025
Tracy,California 95376 Page 2 of 20
March 2,2000
maintenance is not conducted on the separator. GeoTek did not observe obvious
indications of chemical staining in the vicinity of the floor drains.
1.3 ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY RECORDS
No recognized environmental conditions were identified for the environmental regulatory
records searched.
1.4 PREVIOUS REPORTS PROVIDED BY THE CLIENT
CSK Auto did not provide previous reports for the subject property.
1.5 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This Phase I Environmental Site Assessment has revealed evidence of recognized
environmental conditions in connection with the subject site.
• The facility currently utilizes a three-stage oil/water separator to intercept rinse water
from the service area. Since routine maintenance and integrity of the interceptor are
not known, GeoTek recommends sampling subsurface soils adjacent to the separator
inlet and outlet connections to determine if the subject site soils have been impacted
by chemicals utilized at the subject site.
• Based on our site reconnaissance and interviews, GeoTek recommends subsurface soil
sampling of the second hydraulic lift from the west.
This executive summary does not contain all the information that is found in the full
report. The report should be read in its entirety to obtain a more complete understanding
of the information provided, and to aid in any decisions made or actions taken based on
this information.
