Wong,Jeff
From: Callahan, Michael [PW]
Sent: Thursday, May 21, 2020 11:12 AM
To: Elisabeth A. Beckensten, P.E.; Wong,Jeff
Cc: Steven Whittlesey; Neal Colwell;Joseph E. Thomas; Gerry Kamilos; Scott Andrews
Subject: RE:Joe Grindstone Engineered Plans for Septic Holding Tanks
Attachments: 2005181_WWTank_ResponseToSJPWD.pdf; 2004071_WWTank_LettertoSJCPW.pdf
Good Morning Jeff
We have reviewed the attached documents submitted by KSN analyzing the impacts of the project in regards to flood
elevations. KSN has also responded back to my follow up question regarding the projects location within the floodway
as defined by the County Ordinance. KSN has shown that the proposed septic tank is located below the invert of the
river channel and not within the flow area of the watercourse. KSN concludes that as such it is not within the floodway
area as defined by the ordinance. We concur and the project can now proceed. Please keep the attached documents
with your file for the project. Thank you.
Michael Callahan
Senior Civil Engineer
San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works
(209)468-9360
mcallahan@sjgov.org
From: Elisabeth A.
