Improve the use and maintenance of adult flytraps. <br /> Olivera Foods:Adult flytraps will be employed again in this new bird cycle. <br /> Department. Repair and regrout the push blocks around manure loading area in preparation for up <br /> coming poultry cycle. <br /> Olivera Foods: Will repair, regrout, and reset push blocks in preparation for upcoming <br /> poultry cycle. <br /> 8. Continue twice weekly clean out and removal, off site, of poultry manure. <br /> Olivera Foods: Committed to continuing the practice of twice weekly clean out and removal <br /> off-site of poultry manure during this upcoming operating season. <br /> 9. Increase rodent control on property to suppress Norway Rats. <br /> Olivera Foods: Will increase rodent baiting. This is a concern due to avian disease rodents <br /> can transmit. <br /> 10. Repair "push walls" around the perimeter of inside of both buildings number 1 and <br /> number 2 in preparation for up coming poultry cycle. <br /> Olivera Foods: Understands the importance of these repairs and will comply as it minimizes <br /> the potential for Adult fly development. <br /> In addition to the above ten items Olivera Foods stated its goal for the up coming season is <br /> to reduce the level of fly activity, as measured by Department's weekly adult fly spot card <br /> measurements, by 10% over last years results. Towards this goal the Department agreed to <br /> provide Olivera Foods with the tabulation and historical comparison with last year's results to <br /> use as a baseline. <br /> The Department further offered to work with poultry operations personnel to observe adult <br /> fly control spraying and offer constructive comments where necessary. <br /> Olivera Foods has requested the Department confirm by telephone any noted operational <br /> problems found on the ranch. This extra measure would ensure complete clarity, <br /> communication, and understanding between the Department and Olivera Foods. <br /> 2 <br />
