D-19 7 DHS requests that we add members of
the San Joaquin County Toxic Task
Force and the DHS Community Relations
Coordinator, Leticia Rico, as repre-
sentatives of the Communications
Network.
We contacted Leticia Rico as a
member of the Communications
Network on May 27 , 1988 , and fully
intend to continue to include. her
as a member of the network. As
indicated previously, the Toxics
Task Force and the ECC are now
defunct, and we have substituted
these network representatives
with members of the San Joaquin
County Tanner Planning Committee.
In the CRP, the list of network
members has intentionally been kept
general, so as to not identify
specific members (membership will
likely change over time) .
We do not feel it is appropriate to
modify the list in the CRP at this
time. We fully intend to contact
the identified representatives and
others they have recommended on a
consistent basis.
D-19 8 DHS asks for response to a question
asked previously about state rep-
resentatives from DHS and the
CVRWQCB, i.e. , whether or not the
CVRWQCB had approved having one
state representative to represent
both agencies. DHS clearly states
that they will not be represented
by CVRWQCB.
This comment is somewhat confusing,
and appears out of place. We
assume it refers to a statement on
Page D-3 of the CRP which indicates
that the plan provides for communi-
cation between the local community,
McCormick and Baxter, and a "desig-
nated state representative" . . .
"The designated state represent-
ative will represent the Department
of Health Services (DHS) and the
4
