DHS requests that we include a
mailing list of Port of Stockton
tenants. The port manager,
Patricia Franklin, was contacted on
May 26, and she indicated that they
have a general rule not to provide
the mailing addresses of the
tenants. Rather, she asked that we
provide 40 copies of anything we
want distributed, and she will see
that her assistant distributes
them. We have agreed to do so. In
addition, some of the Port tenants
are included in our mailing list,
because we obtained their addresses
in our search of the Tax Assessor' s
rolls.
DHS requests that we remove the
Fresno office of the CVRWQBC from
the mailing list. The mailing list
has been revised to reflect this
comment.
D-22 1 DHS comments that the progress re-
port and community meeting announce-
ment should also give a summary of
future site activities. This comment
has been noted, and we agree that
discussion of planned activities is
an integral part of any progress
report.
D-22 2 DHS asks that we determine if a
Spanish translator is needed, prior
to the public meeting. This
comment has been noted, and we
agree that a translator should be
considered, depending on feedback
solicited from the community as to
their needs.
D-22 3 DHS comments that the fact sheet
should be bilingual English/Spanish.
We have notified DHS on several
occasions that this is our intention.
DHS indicates that distribution of
the progress report and meeting
notice is the responsibility of
McCormick and Baxter, even though
the community center has volunteer-
ed to help with distribution.
