Company Name : Berry Global, Lathrop, Ca <br /> Water Treatment Chemicals- These chemicals are handled by the company Chem Treat. . Rubber or <br /> neoprene gloves should be worn as well as safety glasses . <br /> Janitorial Supply Closet/Cleaning Chemicals- Handled by Jani King, the contracted janitorial service <br /> for the facility . Any cleaning agents used by janitorial are to be removed from the premises on a daily <br /> basis . Any cleaning agents purchased by the company are to be clearly labeled and have an updated SDS <br /> on site . <br /> Biohazard Waste- Biohazard waste is to be handled only by trained personnel (Preferably the EHS <br /> Manager) . There is a SHARPS container in the Supervisor to dispose of any SHARPS items or bio hazard <br /> materials that may result from a first aid situation . When the SHARPS container is full , the entire <br /> container is disposed of in the red BIOHAZARD container directly below . The container is then shipped <br /> to STERICYLE (Mail back Program) for proper disposal . Documentation is on file . <br /> Universal Waste- Batteries, mercury, and florescent light bulbs are handled through a mail back program <br /> with Grainger. All electronic waste is disposed of at appropriate collection facilities (receipts are <br /> obtained) . . <br /> SEPARATION OF MATERIALS <br /> For each storage facility describe the method used to separate and protect chemicals 5 . 2 <br /> Describe Control Areas and containment <br /> Control area is defined as spaces within a building which are enclosed and bounded by exterior walls , fire <br /> walls, fire barriers and roofs, or a combination thereof, where quantities of hazardous materials not <br /> exceeding the maximum allowable quantities per control area are stored, dispensed, used or handled . <br /> Control Area # 1 - Waste Oil area located behind line ' s 11 and 12 . Spill kit located in the area . <br /> Control Area #2 - Fire cabinets behind Waste Oil Area . Locked at all times . Key is located in the key box <br /> in the Supervisor/Maintenance office . <br /> Control Area #3 - Janitor supplies are locked in the Janitor closet . The key is in the key box located in the <br /> Supervisor/Maintenance Office . <br /> Control Area 44- The Water Treatment System located on the West/Back side of the building near the <br /> booster pumps . <br /> Control Area # 5 - Warehouse Docks have a spill kit on hand in the event of a spill from a semi-trailer. <br /> LATHSOP-0051 ; Rev 4 .
