CODE OF SAFE PRACTICES <br /> MACHINE SHOPS GRINDING &DEBURRING <br /> SAFE WORKPLACE CONDITIONS <br /> 1. Grinding area ventilation hood/exhaust systems must be working properly during grinding <br /> operations. <br /> SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> 1. Full face shields are to be worn by grinder operators at all times during grinding operations. <br /> 2. OSTIA approved safety glasses with side shields shall be worn at all times in the grinding shop area <br /> during grinding operations. <br /> 3. Appropriate footwear is to be worn by grinder operators at all times during grinding operations, <br /> 4. Hearing protection must be working at all times in the grind shop area during grinding operations. <br /> 5. Employees must keep floors clean,dry and free of oil and other combustible debris. <br /> 6. Proper lifting techniques shall be used when working with parts or objects to be moved, Overhead <br /> cranes and forklifts are to be used for hoisting,lifting,and moving parts or material when ever <br /> possible. <br /> 7. Employees operating material handling equipment must be qualified by training. <br /> 8. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. <br /> 9. Employees must report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> i 10. No horseplay is permitted. <br /> 11. Clean worksite conditions must be maintained at all times. <br /> 12. All Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)required by State or Federal Regulation must be worn. <br /> 13. All equipment guards required by State and Federal Regulations must be in place. <br /> 14. Report all accidents immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 15. Use Lockout/Tagout/Blockout procedures when required by State or Federal Regulation. <br /> 16. Inspect equipment prior to each use. <br /> 17. Only operate equipment that you have been trained and authorized to use. I <br /> 18. All electrical wiring shall be to code and maintained in safe condition. <br /> 19. Use proper lifting techniques. <br /> 20. Only qualified personnel can perform maintenance services. <br /> 21. Follow all Manufacturers safety guidelines. <br /> 22. Do not operate equipment minder time influence of altering prescription drugs,illegal drugs and/or <br /> alcohol. <br /> 23.
