t
California Waste Removal Systems, Inc.
14 CCR 17486 Station Construction ' <
The station was designed to be easily cleaned and to prevent waste
migrating off-site. The 11/90 LEA inspection report noted a concrete
curb and catch basin had been installed at the truck wash area to
divert wash water away from a wood and brush salvage area. I found
.station equipment to be in good condition and properly cleaned.
14 CCR 17533 Vector and Bird Control
Facility operating practices and methods for equipment maintenance
and cleaning appear adequate to prevent the propagation or - harborage
of vectors. I did not observe a vector problem during this
inspection.
14 CCR 17537 Odor Control
No offensive odors were detected at site boundaries.
COMPLIANCE
17442 Station Modifications
The LEA has been notified of significant changes in the design and
operation of this station.
17451 Design Responsibility
The station was designed and engineered by a professional consulting
firm and appears to comply with the provisions of this regulation.
17452 General Design Parameters
As part of the CEQA review required for the permit revision process,
the criteria for compliance with this section (e.g. service area,
tpd, adjacent land use, drainage control, operating hours, public
use) is being reviewed.
17453 Public Health Design Parameters
The station was designed in a manner which minimizes problems
associated with vector propagation, creation of nuisances, and public
safety.
17462 Special Occurrences
A log of special occurrences was maintained at the scale house on
site.
17463 Inspection of Records
All applicable records were made available for review during the
inspection.
e
' Waste Management Specialist
