The City of Lodi Fire Department <br /> is also readily available. <br /> Section 17496 - Protection of Users <br /> The station was designed, constructed and operated so that <br /> contact between users and solid waste was minimized. Railings, <br /> curbs, grates and fences were provided as necessary to protect <br /> the public and the station personnel. <br /> Section 17497 - Personnel Health and Safety <br /> The supervisor has safety equipment and supplies available to <br /> employees. Norman Worthen is in charge for keeping safety <br /> supplies. The LEA did not require that specific items be used. <br /> Section 17511 - Confined Unloading <br /> Unloading appeared to be properly confined for the number of <br /> vehicles using the facility. <br /> Section 17512 - Cleaning <br /> This facility was cleaned during my state inspection. <br /> Section 17513 - Solid Waste Removal <br /> According to Tom Sanchez (operator) , wastes received at the site <br /> are removed every 48 hours and are taken to Harney Lane Landfill <br /> in Lodi. <br /> Section 17514 - Parking <br /> There was adequate parking for vehicles on site. <br /> Section 17515 - Scavenging <br /> I did not observe any scavenging at this facility the day of my <br /> state inspection. <br /> Section 17516 - Salvaging Permitted at T.S. <br /> Recovery of materials such as cardboard, plastic, bottles and <br /> cans is permitted and did not interfere with station operations. <br /> Waste Managent Specialist <br />
