Bell, Manager
onitoring and Compliance
California Waste Management Board, Headquarters
1010 Ninth Street, Suite 300
Sacramento, CA. 95814
RE: California Waste Removal System's Compliance Agreement
Dear Mr. Bell:
This is in response to California Waste Removal System's Compliance Agreement. To comply
with Section 17486 - Station Construction, we believe this this been corrected with submission
of our "Report of Transfer Station Information" at the end of December 1988.
To comply with Section 17533 - we have instituted the following procedures:
1. All working containers in the Transfer Station facility have been placed on a commercial
route to be serviced regularly. These specific containers are located at the Recycling
Buy-Back Center, the North Wash Rack and the South Wash Rack.
1. The wash racks are swept and washed down daily.
3. The drains andlor sumps are cleaned one (1) to two (2) times per week.
4. Containers which are in inventory have had all drain plugs removed to alleviate standing
water.
5. Containers which are brought into the yard are all dumped, cleaned and washed prior to
storing in inventory.
6. An exterminator is contracted to oversee bait traps on a monthly basis for additional
vector control.
7. Daily spraying for insects during the warmer months is an additional function performed to
insure vector control.
To insure quality control of the vector control procedures the Transfer Station Supervisor does
a daily inspection of the facility and makes any corrections as needed with a follow-up report
directly to the Vice President of Operations. The Daily Report Document is filed by the Transfer
Station Supervisor.
Sincerely;
Thomas A.
