Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Evaluation CTE Job # 25-0726G
Custom Home
5388 Fig Road
Manteca, California
Mav 18, 2020 Paae 3 of 9
Based on San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department permit records search, the subject
parcel has an existing well which is 160 feet deep, has a surface seal at 100 feet deep and the final
inspection occurred on 12/10/10. No problems with the operation of the well have been reported
since the time of well inspection.
The OWTS for the existing home is indicated to include two 80 ft leach lines installed on
05/22/2013. County records do not indicate problems have occurred regarding the existing OWTS,
although, records show the original septic tank and leach fields installed on 08/02/1979 were
destroyed and replaced with the new OWTS system. The septic system and leach fields appear to
be a mounded system located behind/ southwest of the existing home. The absorption field
appears to have been established within the raised building pad, which consists of fill placed to
approximately 4 feet above original groundsurface.
The following San Joaquin County permit records were available for other surrounding residences
along Sedan Avenue;
• At 5350 Fig Road (APN: 226-050-01), a permit was obtained in 1988 for a new well and
1989 for new septic and leaches lines.
• At 5451 Fig Road (APN: 226-030-17), a permit was obtained in 1987 for a septic tank and
leach field and a new well, and in 1994 a permit was obtained for a well replacement
• At 5440 Fig Road (APN: 226-050-03), a permit was obtained in 1974 for a new septic tank
and leach field and a new well
5.0 FIELD INVESTIGATION
A preliminary field investigation, conducted on January 13, 2020, included site reconnaissance,
mapping of surficial site deposits, and the excavation of one percolation test hole (designated "P-
P) to a maximum depth of 36 inches. Percolation test holes logs, percolation data, and test results
are attached as Appendix -A. The percolation test locations are shown on the "Exploration Map",
attached as Figure -2.
VCAL,rsK—
