Festive Bites <br /> Ingredients: Jaggery, Dry coconut, dry dates (seedless) powder, edible gum, Butter, Cashew, <br /> Almonds, Raisins, Poppy flour, water, Cardamom Powder, Nutmeg powder <br /> Method: In a pan heat Butter and roast edible gum in batches. Crush the edible gum using your <br /> hand. Roast dry fruits, dry coconut and poppy flour. Roast dry dates powder with 2 tbsp Butter <br /> on low flame. Transfer the roasted dates powder into the same bowl, Add % tsp cardamom <br /> powder and % tsp nutmeg powder. Mix well making sure all the dry fruits are well combined. <br /> Keep aside. <br /> Jaggery Syrup: In a pan take jaggery and water. Melt and boil on medium flame till 1 string <br /> consistency is reached <br /> Final Making: Pour 1 string jaggery syrup over dry fruit mixture and mix well. Grease hands <br /> with Butter. Make balls when the mixture is still warm. <br /> 2.7 Fenugreek Powder Candy Balls with Jaggery,(Methi ke Laddoo) <br /> Ingredients: wheat flour, Jaggery, Dry coconut, dry dates (seedless) powder, fenugreek <br /> powder, edible gum, Butter, Cashew, Almonds, Raisins, Poppy flour, water, Cardamom Powder, <br /> Nutmeg powder <br /> Method: Heat a pan and add wheat flour and roast it until it turns golden brown. Take it out in a <br /> bowl. Add fenugreek powder in the same pan and roast it dry until fragrant. In the same pan <br /> heat Butter and roast edible gum in batches,. Crush the edible gum using your hand. Roast dry <br /> fruits, dry coconut and poppy flour. Roast dry dates powder with 2 tbsp Butter on low flame. <br /> Transfer the roasted dates powder into the same bowl. Add 3/4 tsp cardamom powder and '/4 tsp <br /> nutmeg powder. Trail Mix/Dried Fruit <br /> 3.1 Savory Thin Beaten Rice and Nuts Trail Mix (Chiwda) <br /> Ingredients: Thin Beaten Rice, Raw Peanuts, Roasted Bengal Gram, Dried Coconut Chunks, <br /> cashew, green chillies, salt, powdered sugar, Oil, Mustard, coarse ground Cumin, Curry leaves, <br /> turmeric and asafoetida <br /> Method: Dry roast thin Beaten Rice on medium flame and roast it until it turns crisp. Let it cool. <br /> In a large skillet, heat oil and fry peanuts, cashew, roasted bengal gram and dry coconut until <br /> golden. Now add mustard, coarse ground cumin, green chilli, asafoetida and curry leaves. <br /> Saute and splutter the tempering. Add turmeric, salt and powdered sugar.
