D0 Property Management Company Personnel & Management Policies <br /> OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES MANUAL Section 630. <br /> Part Page 5of8 <br /> PPE will be inspected monthly in accordance with the Safety and Hazard Inspections policy <br /> within this manual. <br /> Chemical Inventory/Audit—Apartment Communities <br /> The Regional Property Manager or Compliance Specialist will complete an audit annually in <br /> May OrJune to: <br /> 1. Assure that the appropriate PPE is available tothe employees using the chemical products <br /> at the Apartment Community and that itioingood condition; <br /> 2. Inspect all chemical storage areas, product containers and labeling at least annually; and, <br /> 3. Complete on audit of all chemical products at the Apartment Community annually, as <br /> addressed inthe Inspections by Corporate Staff policy within this manual. <br /> Agency Access and Emergency Procedures <br /> If requested, o copy of the Chemical Inventory SIDS Index and access to chemical product <br /> storage areas atthe Apartment Community will be made available to local health, jurisdictional <br /> and public safety authorities; (i.e., Cal/OSHA) when notified in writing by the agency. <br /> In the unlikely event of significant chemical spill in the workplace, SIDS and the location and <br /> quantities of stored chemical products will be provided to local health, jurisdictional and public <br /> safety authorities upon request. <br /> Training <br /> The New Employee Training and the Annual Health and Safety Training for all employees is <br /> addressed in the Health and Safety Training policy within this manual. <br /> New Apartment Community employees who will be using chernical pnVdU{tS in the performance <br /> of their job will review the SIDS and receive instruction from the Lead Maintenance Technician or <br /> Property Manager in the hazards and safe handling of the pn]dUCtS prior to performing any job <br /> using them. <br /> As new products are added to the inventory all employees who will be using the product will be <br /> provided with the same review and instruction. <br /> �Asbestos-Containing MateriaUs —Applicable Apartment Communities Only <br /> Notification <br /> Employees who work at Apartment Communities with an "Asbestos Operations and <br /> Maintenance /(J@PN\ Plan" (properties constructed with building materials containing asbestos <br /> and built before 1980 will be notified about the presence of Asbestos-Containing Materials <br /> (ACM) or Presumed /\CK8 /p/\CM\\. An Employee Notification of Asbestos specific to the <br /> Apartment Community will be provided to employees at these properties upon hire and to all <br /> employees annually thereafter by the Regional Property Manager.
