DKDProperty Management Company Personnel &Management Policies <br /> OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES MANUAL Section 630. <br /> Part Page Gof9 <br /> The Asbestos [D&yN Plan will be available for review in the Rental Office by employees at any <br /> time during normal working hours. <br /> Traininq <br /> All new 8nnp|oynea at these properties will be provided with on-the-job training within the first <br /> week Cftheir employment applicable to their job description, and will be required to attend the 4- <br /> hour"Class III OSHA Asbestos Awareness class within the first Rmonths mfemployment. <br /> The Regional Property Manager for the Apartment Community, the Compliance Manager, all <br /> Compliance Specialists and the aforementioned employees will also attend a Class I I I Refresher <br /> training annually. This course enables employees to do very limited repairs and clean-up of <br /> ACM waste and debris within the scope of the certification and includes the following subjects: <br /> 1. Background information onasbestos, <br /> 2. Health effects of asbestos, <br /> 3. Worker protection programs, <br /> 4. Locations ofACM and PAC&1aithe Apartment Community, <br /> 5. Recognition nfACM and PACK8damage and deterioration, <br /> 8. The O&M Plan for the Apartment Community, and, <br /> 7. Response k>fiber release episodes. <br /> Copies of the employee's certification of attendance will be maintained in the Corporate Office, <br /> Branch (]fOc8 (if applicable) and in the [)&M Plan 8tthe Apartment Community. <br /> PPE <br /> The primary purpose CfPPE iatoprevent exposure tofriable ACM. <br /> At@minimum, each Apartment Community will maintain a supply 0fthe following PPE for clean- <br /> up oremergency repairs: <br /> 1. Painter's hat; <br /> . <br /> 2. Disposable coveralls; <br /> 3. Disposable N-1O0rated respirators; <br /> 4. Disposableshoe covers. <br /> Employees who either refuse or neglect to wear the required PPE are in violation of the <br /> Standards of Conduct policy within this rnanu8l and will be subject to termination of <br /> employment. <br /> Repairs to and Removal of ACM <br /> A contractor with the required credentials will complete all repairs to and removal of ACM that <br /> goes beyond the scope ofthe employee training and certifications. <br /> Ennp|Oyneo who knowingly disturb ACM or complete repairs' maintenance or clean-up beyond <br /> the scope oftheir training and certification are in violation of the Standards of Conduct policy <br /> within this nnGnuo| and will be subject to termination of employment. <br /> DKDOPM | 0301/2019 <br />
