<br /> 4.3 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION ON THE SITE
<br /> Historical use information pertaining to the Site was researched using historical USGS topographic maps,
<br /> aerial photographs, Sanborn fire insurance maps, and city directories information provided by EDRT"`
<br /> Copies of the maps,photographs, and city directories are included in Appendix D. Sanborn fire insurance
<br /> maps are unavailable for the Site.
<br /> Topographic Maps
<br /> USGS topographic maps dated 1914, 1916; 1916; 1940, 1942; 1943; 1952, 1953; 1968; 1978, 1980; and
<br /> 2012 were reviewed. The Site appears to be agricultural land in the 1914, 1916; and 1916 maps. No
<br /> apparent changes are shown until the 2012 map where the neighborhood is developed on the northern,
<br /> western, and eastern portions of the Site.
<br /> Aerial Photographs
<br /> Aerial photographs dated 1937, 1940, 1957, 1963, 1966, 1975, 1979, 1982, 1993, 1998, 2006,2009,2012,
<br /> and 2016 were reviewed.The 1937 photo shows agricultural use of the Site.No apparent changes are shown
<br /> on the photos through the 1998 photo.The 2006 photo shows the Site is not being used for agricultural uses
<br /> and has been graded along with the neighborhood to the north, east, and west of the Site. The 2009, 2012,
<br /> and 2016 photos shows the Site is vacant.
<br /> City Directories
<br /> City directory information for the Site was reviewed, and the Site addresses was not listed in City
<br /> Directories provided by EDR: .
<br /> 4.4 HISTORICAL USE INFORMATION ON ADJOINING PROPERTIES
<br /> Historical use information pertaining to the adjoining properties was researched using historical USGS
<br /> topographic maps, aerial photographs, Sanborn fire insurance maps, and city directories information
<br /> provided by EDRTM. Copies of the maps, photographs, and city directories are included in Appendix D.
<br /> Sanborn fire insurance maps are unavailable for the adjoining properties.
<br /> Topographic Maps
<br /> USGS topographic maps dated 1914, 1916; 1916; 1940, 1942; 1943; 1952, 1953; 1968; 1978, 1980; and
<br /> 2012 were reviewed for the adjoining properties. The adjoining properties appear to be agricultural land in
<br /> the 1914, 1916; and 1916 maps.Mountain House creek is shown northwest of the Site from the southwest
<br /> to the northeast. A building is shown along the southeastern side of the creek at the end of a private road.
<br /> Another structure is also shown along the southeastern side of the creek further down the creek. The Union
<br /> Pacific Railroad is shown northeast of the Site. Canals pass to the northeast and southwest of the Site in the
<br /> 1940, 1942; and 1943 maps. Highway 50 is shown south of the Site. The structure along the creek and at
<br /> the end of the private road still remains. The private road now also extends past the Site boundary. Two
<br /> diagonal pipelines are shown south of the Site in the 1952, 1953 maps.An additional structure,west of the
<br /> creek and north of the private road appears in the 1968 map. A couple of structures are noted north of the
<br /> Site along the creek.A structure is apparent east of the Site,south of the private road.A dry pond is apparent
<br /> to the northeast of the Site. No apparent changes are shown until the 2012 map where the neighborhood is
<br /> developed on the northern, western, and eastern portions of the Site. The southern adjoining property is
<br /> vacant.
<br /> Aerial Photographs
<br /> Aerial photographs dated 1937, 1940, 1957, 1963, 1966, 1975, 1979, 1982, 1993, 1998,2006,2009,2012,
<br /> and 2016 were reviewed for the adjoining properties. The 1937 photo shows agricultural use of the
<br /> surrounding properties. Farm complexes are located northwest and northeast of the Site. Roads are present
