With the completion of each
area, final grades and slopes will be completed in accordance with
final grading plans for the Landfill.
The following is a Table of locations and scheduling for waste
placement as indicated on the plan for the winter periods:
TABLE 1 s Landfill Operational Procedures
Area/Year Location Capacity (C.Y. ) Borrow Stockpile
(Compacted Waste).
1 / 90-91 94+00-97+10N 32,667 (92-93)
101+70-105+60E
2 / 91-92 93+80-97+10N 47,778 (90-91)
97+90-102+10E
3 / 92-93 90+00-94+OON 47, 138 (91-92)
100+90-105+60E
* Based upon 1989 WQR value of 333, 031 cubic yards. Includes daily
cover and assumes a compaction factor of 0.40.
II. WINTERIZATION PAD AND ACCESS ROAD
In preparation of winter disposal activities a winterization pad
and roadway will be constructed to provide easy access and minimize
unloading operations. The winter pad will be constructed of a one
foot compacted soil layer with an oil and chip seal surface. If
necessary, the pad will be recompacted and oiled each successive
year to maintain pad integrity. This pad is shown on the plan and
is designated by a dot matrix. The dimensions of the pad are 240
x 300 feet and provides sufficient maneuverability for vehicle
travel and unloading operations.
Two roadways have been designed for the Winterization Plan and
designated with respect to the area to be filled (See plan) . The
roadway for Area 1 to be filled first was designed to avoid the
current landfilling operations under way. Each roadway will be 20
feet wide and constructed of compacted aggregate base material,
providing vehicles access to and from the winter pad.
III. PR&WAGE
Drainage for the site will consist of berms along the perimeter of
Areas 1 and 3, extending toward the west portion of the landfill.
