C2G I OBEP 24282 <br />41 <br />i <br />Each Pharmacy is required to maintain a hazardous waste accumulation area in a location <br />with restricted access (i.e., Employees Only) and not easily accessible to customers. There <br />must be clear segregation between hazardous waste and saleable product. The <br />accumulation area must be kept well -organized and tidy, with clear access at all times <br />(cannot be blocked). <br />Tote <br />The accumulation area includes 1 tote, clearly labeled for the <br />litx (Pharmacy) waste classification. <br />Documentation <br />To assist with the handling and sorting process, several <br />documents must be clearly posted in the accumulation area <br />at all times: <br />• The Hazardous Waste Program Pharmacy Training Guide <br />• The Rules for Accumulating Hazardous Waste poster (from Strong Pak) <br />• Your store's California EPA identification number or Nevada Hazardous Materials permit <br />• The current Weekly Hazardous Waste Storage Area Inspection form (on a clipboard) <br />The Hazardous Waste Program — Pharmacy binder <br />is also kept in the accumulation area for easy Y <br />access during inspections and when training is - Pharmacy <br />needed.
