VFF DEEP INJECTION WELL NO. 1
Logging & Testing Operations
Page 2
Length
11 20 ' jts of 1/4" (nom) sch 40 T&C pipe
with 23/32" OD couplings 220 '
9 21' jts of 1/4" (nom) sch 40 T&C pipe
with 27/32" OD couplings 189 '
Total 409 '
No further attempt to run bubble pipe. Made up hanger flange as
described above. Hooked up generator and 500 ' of 5" discharge
hose. Hose was routed over top of clarifier tank.
Started pumping at about 1800 hours, then shut down after a few
minutes to fix leaks. Restarted at 1845 hours. Well produced
muddy water until about 2015 hours, then produced clear water
with minor amounts of sand. Sand production diminished to near
zero at end of pumping period. HLA representative took water
samples and made field readings of pH , temperature and electrical
conductivity. Continued to pump well at rates of 100-200 gpm
through midnight.
3/31/90 Production Test
Continued pumping well to clarifier tank at average rate of 184
gpm. HLA representative took water samples, made field readings
and prepared samples for analysis. Shut down pump at 0145 hours
when tank was full . Total volume of water produced = 63 , 364
gallons , or approximately nine wellbore volumes . Shut pump
discharge valve. About 15 minutes after shutting down , the well
began producing a small flow of gas and water through the elec-
trical cable port in the pump hanger flange . Packed off tempo-
rarily around the pump cable , then cut the cable and plugged the
port. The well died in about 10 minutes. Off location at 0300
hours.
Wilson Pump Company crew AOL at 0800 and RU to pull test pump.
Pulled test pump and rolled up discharge hose. Installed injec-
tion tree . Wilson crew off location at 1500 hours.
3/31/90 Injection Test and Logging
Halliburton Services AOL at 1100 hours and RU pump truck and
cartridge filter unit to filter and inject water from clarifier
tank. Filter unit consists of two housings, each with nineteen
30- inch , 3-micron cotton wound elements. Halliburton began
pumping at 1402 hours, injecting 204 gpm at zero WHP.
