Upon detection of measurable leachate in a
previously dry LCRS. The Discharger shall immediately sample the leachate and
shall continue to sample the leachate at the following frequencies thereafter.
Leachate samples shall be analyzed for the following:
Report in Sampling
Parameter/Constituent Units of Frequency
Flow Rate gallons/day Daily
Specific Conductance (field) umhos/cm Daily
pH (field) pH units Daily
Total Dissolved Solids mg/1 Monthly
Chloride mg/l Quarterly
Sulfate mg/l Quarterly
General Minerals mg/l Quarterly
LCRS Testing
The LCRS shall be tested annually to demonstrate operation in conformance with
waste discharge requirements. The results of these tests shall be reported to
the Board and shall include comparison with earlier tests made under
comparable conditions.
Synthetic Liner Monitoring
All visible portions of synthetic liners shall be inspected on a weekly basis
and their condition reported monthly to the Board.
Vadose Zone Monitoring
The following detection monitoring program shall be implemented at the
facility to determine compliance with the water quality protection standards.
The monitoring network shall consist of six lysimeters directly underneath the
basin, which shall constitute the "Points of Compliance" with respect to soil-
pore liquid and one lysimeter upgradient of the basin. Samples from all
lysimeters shall be analyzed for the following parameters:
