MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3-
GOLDEN GATE FRESH FOODS, INC.
VICTOR FINE FOODS
TREATMENT PLANT AND
CLASS II SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
LCRS Testing
The LCRSs shall be tested annually to demonstrate operation in conformance with
waste discharge requirements. The results of these tests shall be reported to
the Board and shall include comparison with earlier tests made under comparable
conditions.
Synthetic Liner Monitoring
All visible portions of synthetic liners shall be inspected on a weekly basis
and their condition reported monthly to the Board.
Ground Water Monitoring
Ground water monitoring shall continue as required in Cease and Desist Order
No. 88-191 .
The Discharger shall determine at each sampling whether there is a statistically
significant increase over water quality protection standards for each parameter
and constituent analyzed.
The ground water surface elevation in all monitoring wells shall be measured on
a monthly basis and used to determine the velocity and direction(s)of ground
water flow. This information shall be reported quarterly on a water table contour
map and/or ground water flow net for the site.
Vadose Zone Monitoring
The following detection monitoring program shall be implemented at the facility
to determine compliance with the water quality protection standards. The
monitoring network shall consist of six lysimeters directly underneath the basin,
which shall constitute the "Points of Compliance" with respect to soil-pore
liquid and one lysimeter upgradient of the basin. Samples from all lysimeters
shall be analyzed for the following parameters:
Report in Sampling
Parameter/Constituent Units of Frequency
Quantity Collected ml Quarterly
Electrical Conductivity Nmhos/cm Quarterly
TDS mg/l Quarterly
